A summer message from CPO Travis Crowder

Summer2015Logo2

Well, another school year is coming to a close tomorrow. I speak for everyone at Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley when I say congratulations to all those who are graduating, and thank you to all the parents and teachers for a great year.

This means summer is just around the corner, and I can tell you we have some awesome things planned here at the Club. From free breakfast and lunch daily to field trips at Tahoe, Wild Waters, EZ Air and more, we have a packed summer ahead of us. In fact, to fit in all the fun, we’re keeping Sutro Elementary open for the summer this year in Dayton to help accommodate all of our new members! Our teen centers in both Yerington and Silver Springs have received recent renovations, and our Dayton sites will have teen programs for the summer as well.

As always, we’ll be offering several educational programs and activities every day to help prevent summer brain drain and keep your kids ready for the next year of school. Our Project Learn program takes activities to the next level with high-end learning objectives to get our member’s brains working, all while having fun and meeting lifelong friends.

I sincerely hope you and your children will join us for this year’s summer program. To help, we offer scholarships and other ways to reduce costs to those who need it. We will NEVER turn a child or family away due to an inability to pay.

With our kids in mind,

 Travis Crowder
