Continuing its commitment to Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley’s Hawthorne clubhouse, Leidos gifted $5,500 to the youth organization Monday during a check presentation.
Leidos, whose mission it is to make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient through information technology, engineering, and science, also gave to the Club in 2020. BGCMV’s Hawthorne clubhouse regularly sees more than 40 youth during a normal year, and the money gifted by Leidos will go directly to support those youth. The Hawthorne clubhouse continues to be open all day to serve youth going to school in Mineral County’s hybrid model.
“The support just means so much,” Stephanie Ziegler, the clubhouse’s director, said. “We really want to thank Leidos for making a difference in the lives of our community’s kids.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley has been serving the Hawthorne community for more than six years, offering meals, a safe place for youth and educational and enriching programs for kids and teens.
