Western Nevada Supply donates $25,000 to Early Learning Center

Always supportive of Boys & Girls Clubs in the area for decades, Western Nevada Supply has pledged to donate $25,000 worth of goods to the E. L. Wiegand Early Learning Center in Yerington.

Western Nevada Supply has been a longtime supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs in Northern Nevada, making this gift just another example of their dedication toward youth. Once completed, the E. L. Wiegand Center will serve up to 50 infants, toddlers and preschools in Yerington. With no preschool program in the area, and only two licensed childcare facilities, the expansion of early childhood care infrastructure in the area is needed. The building, with the full support of Lyon County School District, is set to open in the fall of 2022.

“Western Nevada Supply has always been there for us,” Travis Crowder, the chief executive officer of the Club, said. “I can’t thank them enough for being the amazing friends to our organization that they are.”

They join a list of donors for the project that includes the lead donor E. L. Wiegand Foundation, Peri & Sons Farms, the Deborah and TJ Day Foundation, the Estelle J. Keley Foundation, Prime West Construction, Desert Engineering, Walker River Mechanical, the Robert R. Banks Foundation, the E. L. Cord Foundation and many, many more.
