Dear Parents,

In accordance with state directives, Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley has adjusted all its sites to keep your children and our staff safe. We are currently open, with strict social distancing and safety procedures in place, in Yerington and Hawthorne to all families. Sutro Elementary in Dayton is currently open to children of healthcare professionals only, and we are working with Lyon County School District and their timeline to open fully in both Dayton and Silver Springs. For more information, click here. The Attic Thrift Store is currently open for business but per state guidelines the Yerington Movie House remains closed.

We understand the impact this has on our families, and we truly appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to reopen for all our families in all our communities.

If any families are in need of food or basic necessity throughout the closure please contact Christina Hurt, Director of Operations at Christina@bgcmasonvalley.org.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Mason Valley
Our History

Over the last 20-plus years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley has been in the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social and family circumstances. Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley has actively sought to enrich the lives of girls and boys whom other youth agencies have had difficulty reaching. We are dedicated to ensuring that our community’s disadvantaged children and teens have greater access to quality programs and services that will enhance their lives and shape their futures.

Today, more than 1,700 young people at risk and in need are taking advantage of the programs, activities and services provided by Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley throughout Lyon County. Our vision is to provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.

Boys & Girls Clubs

Over the last 20 years, we have gone from a single Clubhouse to now serving youth in 7 locations throughout the Yerington, Silver Springs, Hawthorne and Dayton area. We currently serve upwards of 1,700 youth annually, while also providing just over 86,000 FREE meals last year. Collectively our Club sites see over 500 members each and every day.

As we celebrate these great milestones and accomplishments, we are excited about the future of Boys & Girls Club movement and our goal to continue to increase our impact of kids! We do all of this and members still only have to pay a $10.00 annual membership. We know that serving more kids, more often is the gateway to achieving critical outcomes for youth. We know that inside our Club doors, great futures start here!
